WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is currently developing a feature that will enable users to share their status updates on Facebook Stories, as reported by WaBetaInfo.
This update, named “share status updates,” is currently in development and will be included in a future update as per the app-tracking website.
This feature will allow users to share their status updates on Facebook without having to leave the WhatsApp app. This optional feature is not yet ready to be made available to beta testers, according to the report.

Previously, users had to manually share their updates on Facebook, but this new feature will streamline the process by automatically sharing their status updates.
WhatsApp users will have complete control over which of their status updates they wish to share on Facebook, with the upcoming feature being optional and disabled by default. To access it, users can enable it through their status privacy settings, and if they choose to discontinue its use, they can easily disable it at any time.
According to WaBetaInfo, this new feature will save users time and effort, as their status updates will be automatically shared on Facebook as a Story, eliminating the need to manually share them while switching apps.
Additionally, this feature will allow users to reach a wider audience, given the massive user base of Facebook compared to WhatsApp.
